Carolyn Ives Gilman has been publishing fantasy and science fiction for fifteen years. Her first novel, Halfway Human, came out from Avon in 1998. Her short fiction has appeared in F&SF, Bending the Landscape, Interzone, Universe, Full Spectrum, Realms of Fantasy, and The Year's Best Science/ Fiction. She has been a finalist for the Nebula Award in the novelette category. Her work has been translated and reprinted in Germany, Russia, and Italy. She lives in St. Louis, where she works as a museum curator and is currently developing a nationally touring exhibition about Lewis and Clark. Her story "The Real Thing" was in Year's Best Science Fiction (Gardner Dozois, ed.) for 2001. |
