Jacie Ragan: |
(08/11/1993) |
Jacie Ragan lives in Hannibal, Missouri. She writes, "I've taught English in Afghanistan, Iran, and Missouri, and now write full time in the Missouri backwoods. My chapbook, Desecrated Sepulchres, won the first annual Leap of Lunacy Poetry Contest and will be released by Straitjacket Publications this May. Quick Glimpse Press is publishing my second collection of poems, A Stake in the Darkness, this summer, and I have stories due out soon in Air Fish ,NoirStories, and Expanse." She adds, "It's been a very good writing year already, with two poems nominated for Rhysling Awards, and one nominated for a Pushcart Prize. Have you noticed that all the good things happen at once? (The way all the bad things seem to, too. My stove & washer died in the same week, and I'm waiting to see what other machines will get possessed by the appliance demons now.)" |
