Ed Humpal lives near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife, a singer-songwriter, and four children. The oldest is a tattoo artist, the youngest is in second grade. He works in construction and building maintenance and occasionally designs lighting for theatrical productions. "Ovid Eo" is his first published story, and is appearing neck and neck with a piece in the current issue of Xizquil. He also has work scheduled for publication in the upcoming debut of Hidden River, a quarterly arts review.
