Douglas M. Stokes has been engaged in the active writing of fiction and poetry for about five years. Prior to that, his efforts were focused in the area of scientific research in parapsychology. He is a former associate editor of the Journal of Parapsychology and is the author of hundreds of publications in this area, including the book The Nature of Mind (McFarland, 1997). He has also worked as a teacher, a business consultant, and a psychotherapist. His fiction and poetry have appeared in a wide variety of publications, including Goddess of the Bay, Cabal Asylum, Black Petals, The Ultimate Unknown, Aberrations, MindMares, The Catbird Seat, frisson, Edgar, Widdershins, Indigenious Fiction, Burning Sky, and Vampire Dan's Story Emporium, among others. He has also authored work under the pen name Sue D'Nimm, whose first story appeared in Cara Bruce's recent anthology Viscera. D'Nimm's work is next scheduled to appear in Shane Ryan Staley's upcoming anthology The Dead He lives in a cohousing community in Michigan with his wife and daughter. |
