Will Shetterly was born in Columbia, South Carolina, on August 22, 1955. He presently lives in Minneapolis with his beloved wife, Emma Bull, and his tolerated cats, Chaos and Brain Damage. He takes perverse pride in having been expelled from the Choate School. He has acted Off-Off-Broadway, played the electric bass for a Minneapolis sort-of-new wave band, been an editorial assistant for Berkley Books, a production aide for John Wiley & Sons, a manager of a trading post in northern Ontario, and, with Emma Bull, the publisher of SteelDragon Press, a tiny publishing house specializing in fantasy and science fiction comic books, trade hardcovers, and collectors' edition hardcovers. Shetterly and Bull have also edited the Liauek anthologies for Ace. He has published stories in Liauek and Borderlands, and two novels: Cats Have No Lord (1985) and Witch Blood (1986). He is presently working on The Tangled Lands, a novel set in Minneapolis in the near future. |
